A message from Marty Theriot:

Fellow St. Martinville Residents...

My name is Marty Theriot , I am running for District 1 City Council because I believe leadership is about service, not self. It is about listening before speaking, understanding before acting, and putting the needs of our community above personal ambition. If elected, I pledge to represent District 1 with honesty, courage, and humility. I would be honored to earn your support and your vote.

For more than 25 years, I've been blessed to build a strong foundation at home with my wife, Sheri, and our five children and seven grandchildren. That same commitment to growth and stewardship has shaped my professional life.

A graduate of SMSH Class of 1987, I began my career hands-on and worked my way through increasing levels of responsibility. At Pathfinder, I served as a Crew Leader for 10 years, where I focused on building strong teams and improving daily operations. Through dedication and a results-driven mindset, I advanced to North American Purchasing Manager and later North American Asset Manager, overseeing large-scale procurement and asset strategy with an emphasis on efficiency, accountability, and continuous improvement.

For the past 17 years, I have worked at Stabiltec Downhole Tools that is located in Parks, La. I embraced every opportunity to grow-serving as Purchasing Manager, Welding Manager, Sales Manager, and ultimately General Manager. Each role allowed me to refine processes, strengthen teams, improve profitability, and raise performance standards. Whether managing budgets, leading production floors, or driving sales growth, l consistently looked for better ways to serve customers, support employees, and strengthen the organization.

Beyond the workplace, for the past 15 years I've served Acadiana schools through painting, cleaning, and repairs— taking pride in improving the environments where our children learn, I've also dedicated time to helping single mothers and widows in our community by remodeling and repairing their homes, striving to leave every place and every person better than I found them.

In every role-professional or personal—I believe in stewardship, accountability, and continuous improvement. I don't just fill positions; I work to strengthen systems, elevate people, and create lasting value wherever I serve.
